Just about all of you complain about Alaska being to cold...but!
current weather in anchorage
And I got friends in colorado, idaho, and the midwest states and they say it 19 degrees and snowing where they at, while here in Alaska we're just hanginout in 60 degree weather lol.
lol I thought I'd just let y'all know ha

Ditto. That would not be enough to pay me off to live in Alaska. I hear your nature is amazing though. Having being plesantly surprised byUtah's nature, a state I thought had nothing, I'm open minding about Alaska.

But the weather and isolation makes me never seriously consider living there.

You guys seriously think it's a bad thing, it's not. It gets just a cold as it does down south, yeah we get less sunlight in the winter but every placedoes. And! not too mentions we are the richest state in the nation. we current do not have a sales tax, and the government gives us money like it'snothing. I can buy anything I want tax free. it's not even that bad living here either, it's like every other city. Alaska>every other state.(causey'all are broke and hungry)

those are skewed bro, i live here and it's not like that.
 
Im not hating on Alaska at all, im sure its gorgeous up there.

But at the same time, you can get essentially the same beauty here in Washington with the added benefit of the major cities and the accompanying luxuries.

Ill take Seattle over Alaska. (which city do you live in btw?)
 
No sales tax..ok..Govt pays you to live there (that's saying something in itself), you're the richest state..cool..but are you rich?

Bottom line I've never heard anybody say "OMG we're going to Alaska! YESS!" or "Alaska was soo much fun last spring break"

or "I WANT to live in Alaska" .
 
I was born in alaska, and whenever it comes up in convo someone says "yea you look like you're from there"

what does that even mean?

and how can i cash in on this without actually living there?
 
are there any colleges up there that are good at soccer? ...im thinking about going somewhere far from home and where there is alot of nature...

also, what are my chances of %@%@+$% sarah palin?
 
i always thought Alaska seemed cool and I'd like to visit Anchorage someday, but yeah... i don't think you can say it's all that great, or betterthan the rest of the country.

Every place has it's positives and negatives... except New Jersey...
 
How is Alaska even a state? Should be it's own country. Dark cold and alone smh
